Our Impact ministry was asked to participate in a very special event held at the University of Utah. One November 13th the Hinkley Institute hosted a discussion on the topic of fighting human trafficking here in Utah. The panel consisted of three local speakers, specializing in prosecution, investigation and rehabilitation. One of the student leaders of the Institute saw us tabling a few months back, advocating for Rapha House, an organization dear to our hearts that loves, rescues and heals those trafficked in Cambodia, Thailand and now Haiti. This young lady asked us to table at this event and raise additional awareness (as an official student group) amongst those in attendance. What an honor it was to join together with the “U” for such an important cause.
We want to congratulate one of our students, Michael, on taking one step closer to earning his PhD at the University of Utah in Atmospheric Sciences by defending his dissertation recently! Way to go Michael, we’re proud of you man!
We had a good time this afternoon bringing some holiday cheer to those passing by at the Primary Children’s Hospital! Afterwards we enjoyed lunch together at a local, yet amazing, taco stand!
ImpactU wants to wish Neil & Chris of Sunset Coffee in Sandy a Merry Christmas! We are grateful for their generous contributions of coffee which serve our weekly college Bible Studies!
If you’re in the neighborhood please stop by and say thanks for their gracious donations towards our Salt Lake Impact Campus Ministry and buy a cup of coffee while you’re there too! It’ll be amazing!

Tonight we were very privileged to of had representatives from Voice of the Martyrs come and speak during our weekly gathering. We were presented with tons of information about the persecution to Christians happening all over the world. Most of the information was staggering as well as new to most of us.
To learn more about the persecution happening to Christians, visit the Voice of the Martyrs website here or sign up to pray for those being persecuted here. To learn about tangible ways to make a difference click here.
